CAD Drafting Services
CADDraftingServices.us provides CAD drafting services for construction projects across the United States, with a quote within 24 hours. Our CAD drafting services turn your designs, markups, PDFs and scans into permit-ready and fabrication-ready CAD drawings, shop drawings and building information modeling (BIM) models. Every drawing set passes three quality assurance (QA) stages before delivery, with unlimited revisions within the agreed scope.

Our CAD drafting services cover architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) and civil drafting, plus construction, permit and as-built drawing sets. They also cover shop drawings by trade, 3D BIM and Revit models, and PDF to CAD conversion, for residential, multifamily, commercial and industrial projects.
Drafting starts from PDFs, scans, sketches, markups, CAD files and photos
Drafting starts from the files you already have: PDFs, scanned drawings, hand sketches, redlined markups, CAD files, and photos with measurements. A point cloud you supply is the base for a BIM model of an existing building. Every project runs remotely, from file exchange to delivery, so none of the work depends on a site visit.
Drafting follows the codes and standards a project calls for
Permit sets follow the International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC), with the state and local amendments the project's jurisdiction has adopted. Drawings follow the US National CAD Standard, with layers named to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) layer standards. BIM models follow the BIMForum LOD Specification. The drafting software is AutoCAD, Revit or Tekla Structures.
Following a standard is a different thing from holding a certificate from the body that publishes it. We draft to these standards and claim membership in none of them.
A drafting project runs in six steps, from files to final set
The drafting process runs in six steps, from the files you send to a final set you approve. Three QA stages sit between the drafting and the delivery. The quote fixes the price and the delivery date before any drafting starts.
Bigger or less defined projects start with a discovery call instead, followed by a written proposal. Either way, you'll see the price and the date before we draw a line.
Turnaround is fixed in the quote
Small drawing sets in 2 business days. Mid-size and larger projects from 3 business days, with the schedule fixed in your quote. That quote names the delivery date for your set, so you agree on the turnaround time before work starts.
Deadline already set? Put the date in your message with the files, and the quote will say whether it fits.
Each drafting project is priced as a fixed quote based on its scope
Each drafting project gets a fixed quote based on its scope. The price depends on the scope: the drawing type, the number of sheets, the inputs supplied and the turnaround required. A monthly retainer gives firms with steady work a dedicated drafter instead of a quote for each project.
No hourly rate or per-sheet price is published here; two sets with the same sheet count often take different amounts of work.
The CAD drafting cost page explains how a quote is put together and what lowers it.
We draft for architects, contractors, fabricators and owners
Architects and designers, general contractors, fabricators and trade subcontractors, and owners, developers and homeowners send us drafting work. Their projects are residential, multifamily, commercial and industrial; single-family homes, additions and ADUs sit in the residential group. Each group needs a different part of the drafting work.
We work on construction projects across the United States
Construction projects across the United States are drafted to the code edition and amendments their state or city has adopted. We do not seal drawings ourselves.
Serving architects, contractors, fabricators and owners across the United States, we have drafted for US construction projects since 2019.
Questions about our CAD drafting services
Drafting is one part of the work behind a construction set: the seal, the site survey and the engineering design come from other professionals.
No. Our team is made up of drafters, detailers and BIM modelers, not licensed engineers or architects, so we never seal a set. The seal comes from a licensed engineer or architect when your jurisdiction requires one.
No. Surveying and on-site scanning are outside the service, so as-built measurements are taken by others and sent to us.
No. Structural, MEP and civil drawings are drafted from the design and calculations your engineer of record provides.
Yes. PDFs and hand sketches are redrawn as CAD files, and the redrawn set is converted to a Revit model when the project needs BIM.
Yes. On a monthly retainer, the drafter who drew a firm's last set also draws the next one.
Yes. Unlimited revisions within the agreed scope are included in every fixed quote.
Yes. Ask for a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and we'll sign it. Your files are treated as confidential whether or not you ask.
